More summer summaries...

Who doesn't love a good ol' Chicago street fest? We try to go to as many as possible....until you realize they are pretty much all the same vendors. We really liked the Retro on Roscoe fest, especially the ice cream. Another favorite was the Burger Fest. I like any excuse to eat burgers in the street with a fresh glass of Sangria.

This year we discovered a small street fest right on Tisha & James' block. Too bad it was the hottest day of the year and the bounce house was smack in the middle of the sun, near the pony rides. Sadly, they managed to have the worst Pad Thai and gyros ever. On the other hand, the sangria was tasty. The best part was the live band we rocked out to from the comfort of their front yard. Next year will have big plans. We will take advantage of the entertainment while relaxing with good food and brilliantly stocked coolers.
