Marine Air Control Group 48 held their Family Day on July 3rd on the base at Great Lakes. It felt like the coldest day EVER, even though the forcast said it would be a beautiful summer day. The wind and rain kept most people hiding in the food tents for most of the event. The sun finally came out and we were able to enjoy some of the activities with the girls. There was a bounce house, a petting zoo and much much more. My parents joined us and we salvaged the day in the end. Luckily, the event was moved from the day after the USMC birthday ball, when no one wants to wake up early. Hopefully next year will be nicer outside and we can enjoy all of the activities.
