Aubrie's Home!

On Nov 21st at 6pm, we left Swedish Covenant Hospital. It was dark, windy, pouring rain and freezing cold. All I could think as they wheeled me out to the car with my daughter in my arms (covered in blankets so she didn't blow away), is "it's never like this on TLC's Baby Story."

We arrived home and gave Aubrie a tour of her new home. My parents and Grandma came over and my mom made us a meatloaf. It was overwhemling to be home at first. I was tired, a little sore and a bit teary, but I couldn't be happier.

Let the games begin!

Our baby girl has arrived!

After 28 hours in the hospital......Our daughter, Aubrie James Waldeck, was born Tuesday, November 20th, 2007 at 2:15pm. She weighs 7lbs and is 20 1/2 inches long.

At about 8 am Monday morning, I had a feeling my water was "leaking." After a few experiments to see if I was right, I told Justin to go ahead to work. I had an appointment scheduled for 11am anyway. I talked to my mom and my sister Jennifer and they told me to call my doctor. I had to wait until 9am, so I walked the dog, ate breakfast, and took a shower. I even shaved my legs : ) The nurse told me to head to Labor & Delivery "just in case."

I called Justin and he was already on his way home.

We arrived at the hospital at 10 am and they did a test to see if my water did in fact break....it did. By 11 am, we were set up in a room. We called everyone we needed to call and we tried to relax...and we waited......and waited some more.

In the end, she was perfect...and worth the wait.
